Andria & Zac

Our Story:

Zac & Andria’s Brother (Alex) became good friends at college in Buffalo, NY - through mutual friends and playing in a way-too-seriously competitive floor hockey league. After college, they both took jobs in the same region, near Albany, NY, and decided it would be financially advantageous to move in together to split rent. Throughout those 4+ years, Zac was invited to many family occasions where he was introduced to his sister (Andria).

For Independence Day in 2019, Zac was hosting a gathering of friends at his family’s lake house in Vermont. In an attempt to get to know Andria better, he suggested to Alex that he should invite his sister. Alex, none-the-wiser to the ulterior motive, thought this was a great idea. At this party, in the late evening as everyone was sitting around the fire, Zac & Andria found themselves sitting next to one another. Eventually they found their hands intertwining while listening to music, sharing stories with their closest friends. Later that week, with Alex’s approval, they started formally dating.

Eight months later, during the initial Covid lockdown, Andria’s father (Mark) showed some signs of contracting Covid. To avoid catching it herself, she brought a couple weeks of clothes to stay with Zac while he recovered. After six years, she has yet to move back home with her parents.

In 2021, Andria & Zac made the decision to move to Denver, CO - where her brother and many mutual friends had also decided to relocate. The mountains, friends, and lifestyle were all a perfect fit for the adventurous couple. Andria found a new job and Zac worked remotely/from the road. The first few years were spent downtown Denver to experience the city atmosphere, while spending most weekends off in the mountains.

Three years later, in 2024, the couple made a few big steps in their life together; They got engaged at the base of Machu Picchu in Peru, got an addition to the family (a Bernedoodle puppy named Bindi - the witness for the wedding), and purchased a home in the suburbs of Denver (with a spare room that they encourage be filled with family or friends - so come visit).

They look forward to celebrating all of these milestones and the binding of this relationship with their closest friends and family in their new Home State this fall.
